In the 1940's the National Geographic Society declared Lake Vermilion one of the top ten most scenic lakes in the United States. And it still is today. With its 40,000 acres of water, 365 islands and 1200 miles of shoreline, it stretches 40 miles across the heart of Minnesota's Arrowhead Region. This blog is intended to bring together everyone that loves our lake.

How is the County going to enforce any new regulations when they can't even enforce the ones that are on the books right now? Some folks do whatever they want and then let their lawyers delay and argue until the County gives up anyway!
I find the plan very confusing--too many should's, maybe's and could's. To me the plan is not complete until the map is done so a property owner can see exactly what their land is zoned and how the plan will affect them. Watch out for the non-conforming lots and variance issues--the County is playing in the gray area here--a lot of people could be severely limited on how they can develop their property.
